Take notes. Exciting announcement featuring new game!

I'm currently working on a new game the prototype name is "take notes", the game is featuring rhythm game gameplay but in a more top down movement mechanics. As the name of the game says you'll simply take the notes (catch is more suiting but who cares), the importance is to get to know the metre (the length of the notes) right with the rhythm, I would like to get some feedback on the game, and maybe Ideas.


I'm going with this 1910s-20s Jazz club style of music, if you know anything about music prod. it will help a lot, I would like to discuss on that.

For the player you can see the red dude, kind of like, a hedgehog (If sonic can be one everything can be one). (this guy: )

There's the violin, but I can make more instruments if I will get this one right.

How would you implement "catching the notes" where would they fall from? the neck/top of the instrument or the soundhole? or am i misinterpreting?

It's not catching a moving note, it's catching a note that's about to disappear, like in other rhythm games.
