Image Packs on Itch.io?

As you might know, besides doing a few games and comics every now and then, I mostly draw NSFW illustrations, usually with like 2 alts or so (usually a normal version + a nude version, and maybe one with like other overlays or clothes or bigger booba). I post these on my social networks and Patreon, but also I make compilations and sell them on my Gumroad store.

Now, Gumroad has just announced their decision to ban all NSFW content from their site starting tomorrow (March 16th), therefore I will have to consider somewhere else to upload and sell my old art collections. So, I was wondering if it would be OK to do so here on itch.io, since it technically has a category for "something else" besides game-related content. The art packs I make are mostly just random fanart pinups, sometimes customer OC's or my own OCs.

Have you seen someone else here uploading just image packs? would that be OK? would it be better to make another account just as an "archive" account for it? It's not that I'm urgently distressed about this gumroad policy change btw, I'm just curious about possibilities and the chance to use itch.io more. Community has been super cool so far, so I'd feel guilty to just dump old content here out of the blue 馃槄

I've seen other artists uploading image packs here since gumroads ban. :)

Man, what the fuck are they doing over at Gumroad? I wonder what site will be banning NSFW next.

I haven't seen others using Itch for anything other than games and (rarely) comics, but I also don't really search for much other than games. I don't see a reason not to use Itch as a way to distribute your art in packs; you already seem to be mostly using this for NSFW comics, so it's not like it would be a big departure, if that's what you're worried about. If it turns out to not be allowed per site rules, you could probably still make occasional posts promoting your stuff, so long as you're also working on games/comics/whatever is allowed.

Glad to hear you're not disstressed. I'm only seeing this from a user perspective at the moment, but it's concerning how many sites crack down on NSFW stuff in the last time. I heard of a bunch of creators who lost their accounts either on DA or Pixiv or Patreon for continually ever stricter rules...

Where are you most active?

for newest content, I'm more active on Patreon! for casual talk I use Discord, and I also post and read stuff on twitter kinda often. Everywhere else I mostly automate posting on a schedule.

Indeed, NSFW has been subject of much scrutiny and banning these past few years, although I guess it comes with internet becoming so mainstream.

Thanks for the insight. Keep up the great work.

That really might be one of the reasons, just a bunch of hypocrites if you ask me, every site wants money from that crowd, but no one wants to be seen with it lol
