Shutting Down "Wholesome Cats"

To any Wholesome Cats players,

It's been 6 years since I released "Wholesome Cats" and it's been a decent run. Because I can no longer maintain the server for the game and this has resulted in an increase of bugs as of a couple days ago, I am shutting it down and taking it down from storefronts (iOS, Android, Itchio). I would rather players not play than play a buggy version. If you see it on any other platform it is there without my permission. If anyone wants to take the source code and rerelease it you can find the scripts on github: https://github.com/zephyo/Wholesome-Cats/ Happy to hand over other assets if requested and I can verify credibility - send requests to wholesomecatgame@gmail.com.

I'm sorry if this has affected anyone adversely. I welcome all attempts at rereleasing the game. Thank you to any players still playing after these 6 years.

Could we please get the files for the music used in the game? I loved the music, it's very nostalgic to me, and I am sad that the game is gone now. All the osts on youtube are pretty bad recordings.

farewell wholesome cats you may have some bad bugs, but you were a lovely game.

Upload it to an archive website.

Because I think this game is awesome. I don't want it to get lost.

I hear that but due to server issues, basic functionality would not work predictably anymore and in-app purchases would run a high risk of taking money without rewarding the bought items. That's too risky even to archive.

Geez. Maybe I was being too idealistic. I hope you can figure something out.
