ShroomJam Game Screenshots

Screenshots from a unfinished game submission for Vinesauce ShroomJam.

The theme was "corruptions" and ran for a week.

I started working on my submission day 1 of the jam but pivoted mid week when I wasn't confident I could execute idea.

These screenshots are from the first half of the jam.

It was way too ambitious even for the fidelity I was targeting for a game made in a week.

So I tried to take the idea and themes and meld it into something smaller that hit the same themes.

I also really wanted the game to stand on it's own so that it could be understood by someone who doesn't watch Vinesauce but still had some references.

It caused more problems trying to find that balance rather than committing to one way.

These next screenshots are from the second half of the jam.

I didn't expect to have so much trouble with the game jam theme.

I came up with a lot of ideas trying to find one I thought I could execute in a week that satisfied the theme and would be entertaining.

If I could go back to the start of the jam with the idea I settled on I think I could have finished it.

Could recycle what I have into something original at a later time but no motivation atm gotta focus elsewhere.

I feel as if this could be its own independent game, and would like to see it! Not pushing you to of course Tess, frankly i don't know shit about making games, the process, ect. Therefore: its your game, so you may decide its fate.
