Happy weekend!
The poll results are here. Thank you to everyone who voted!
As you can see from the above image, it was a surprising sweep of "Yes" votes. To be perfectly honest, I wasn't confident anyone would have been interested at all, so it's extremely humbling to know most of you are just excited as I am to explore more of Lunar Isle beyond the choice-based games. Thank you truly, I appreciate it a lot <3
What happens now? Well, there are preparations to be done for next year. I'll have to see which ideas I can keep and/or discard for the project. I don't consider myself a great writer of the calibre of my favourite authors or friends, or a writer at all, but I will try my best! It won't be overly ambitious, some of the stories might be longer or shorter than the other. Ultimately, the goal is to have fun and bring about these old ideas in a new light! I'm already aware certain thematics won't be everyone's cup of tea, and that's perfectly fine. Maybe another story will be much to your taste than this or that. Or there could be themes I won't touch at all, either because I am not positive I can handle it with the proper care and respect it warrants (an old idea I used to thought was sweet as a teenager lacks the awareness or respect now in hindsight).
Consider this project as an amateur light novel(?) of sorts, or a small collection of short stories. Or perhaps an excuse to improve my writing skills paired to self-indulging in cover illustrations shoujo style on top of getting better at designing book spreads? Yup. Definitely that! ( •̀ ω •́ )✧
Whatever comes out of this, I hope you're along for the ride~ b( ̄▽ ̄)d
See you in the upcoming monthly blog post.
Cheers!
