Greetings from the Mutagen Interactive team,

We're still chipping away at the projects we hinted at last year, but over the Australia Day long weekend, a sudden hit of inspiration led to the creation of a brand-new short horror game. Using a public restroom asset found right here on Itch.io, we’ve managed to put together most of the game fairly quickly. It's basic in it's design but we feel it will be fun.

As of today, gameplay is fully complete (pending playtesting, because who knows—maybe we’ve brewed up some unexpected bugs). Most sound effects are in place, and the only major tasks left are the main and pause menus.

So, what’s this nightmare-fueled project? Enter It Came From the Septic Tank—a grotesque horror game set entirely in a dingy public restroom. Inspired (very loosely) by an old song from our sound design/music guy SharedWifi.

No release date yet, but it’s coming very soon.
