TSoA - Much progress

Hi! 

The Suffering of Animals is a valid program that runs now! It has:

Dialogue!


Jokes!


And, of course, the most extreme board game of the 90s, Warmarbles!

There's also a rudimentary menu system for picking who you'll be talking to. For economy-of-design reasons, you're ultimately going to pick who you're talking to using an interface resembling Warmarbles. Trust me, it will make more sense as the game develops further.


At present, there's about 20,000 words of dialogue and you can ask each of the 10 NPCs about any of approximately 75 keywords. Granted, most keywords elicit a default response, but we're getting there. I'm ultimately aiming for about 100,000 words, which is half of a novel. I'm having a lot of fun with this one! Writing it feels like interviewing my characters to see what they think about a bunch of random topics. 

There's quest chains too. I've built about half of one chain as a proof-of-concept.

I'm looking forward to continuing to develop this one. It will be our biggest game yet, so it might take several more months to complete. You can look forward to more updates!
