Hello everyone, happy March!
I hope that everyone had a good February! It was quite a productive month for me again (and it flew by SCARILY fast)!
I mainly worked on some assets for Project R, including the sprites and the promotional/main menu art! I also revisited my codebase. It was a lot of reorienting/making lists of features that I want to add (for instance, I want to finally add in rollback before I release anything else, and I'd also like to add full controller and keyboard support, as opposed to relying solely on mouse navigation. These sorts of accessibility features are important, in my opinion!) I also started working on implementing the keyboard/controller navigation (it's more complicated than I would have liked, unfortunately 馃槶)
I also corresponded a lot with the freelancers that I'm working with this month. A short list:
-Completed 2 backgrounds for Project R, and one for MHIAS, including variations.
-Recruited a background artist for Actala and Hanasu.
-Finalized the logo for Project S
-Finalized discussions with a special guest artist for Hanasu (very excited for this one!)
Regarding the timeline of my releases, I've altered things a bit! I was originally going to release Hanasu/the Karamu trilogy for Otome Jam; however, since I'm working with a couple other artists on the project, I'll be pushing out the release until around August at the earliest (somewhere between August/September, thereabouts), to leave wiggle room for that work to be done. As a result, I'm thinking of postponing the release of My Husband is a Stranger's demo and releasing that for Otome Jam instead, rather than a shorter demo sooner 馃 and I might release the demo for Project R (the female yandere knight project) beforehand... Choices, choices...
Regardless, I'll probably work on all three slowly and plan hard releases when they're around 90% done 馃槀 Next month I'll be focusing primarily on coding to implement the new accessibility and QOL features (as well as revamping the GUI), and tackling CGs after that if I have time.
Thank you to everyone who's following along, and see you next month!
