All games I have made for game jams.
Made for the Winter 2023 Mechanics Jam at Ontario Tech University hosted by the Game Programming Club.
Made in roughly 3 hours for Trijam #191: The 3 hour game jam with the theme of Isolated.
Made for the Ontario Tech GDSA Fall GDJam 2022 with the theme Out Of Time.
Worked on UI and project management. Learnt how to asynchronously load scenes and implement animations.
Made for the GMTK 2022 Jam with the theme "Roll of a Dice". I wanted to work on putting together everything I've learnt in Unity so far and polishing it in a short time frame. Such things were implementing sprites, sound effects and music better as well as making actions have feedback. Much focus was put into the look of the game and giving it a simplistic system, causing balancing and the pacing of the game to suffer. A more clear and interactive tutorial is needed to explain the systems in use. This was a fun experience and I learnt a lot in making this that I hope to use in future projects.
For this project I wanted to work on item and enemy spawning randomly in a specified area as well as an upgrade system. Also implemented is a save system.
Enemies and items have their own set timers with the later being able to be shortened through the use of upgrades. Each can select randomly from a list of specified objects to spawn, with enemies have 3 different variants that can spawn. The game saves the amount of currency acquired as well as the upgrades purchased. Additionally the game tracks the best time and highest score the player has obtained.
If I had more time I would normalize the aiming and speed of the bullet fire as well as retouch the colour palette.
Made for a low effort game jam. Practiced my asset making as well as learnt how to spawn objects anywhere in the visible screen.
A fan favourite. Made for the Low Effort Jam 6, I worked mainly on making the cactus sprites and working on making the game world update as the player completes tasks.
One of my favourite creations. Made for the Wholesome Jam, I made a light hearted game. Focused on making icons and enemy sprites. Also made the season system and learnt more about making incremental quests. Working on an update to the game.
Made for the 2022 Global Game Jam. First game jam using Unity instead of RPG Maker. Tested how to make a dialogue box as well as player and camera movement. Also made a swapping environments mechanic that still needs some work but am very proud of for the time frame.
Made for Low Effort Jam 10. Testing out more of RPG Maker's Battle system and making endlessly incrementing objectives.
Made for Low Effort Jam 18. Taking some reference from the Egg Shift, I made the tasks in this game endless but this time they randomly generated but with slight increments. Also worked more on showing information in the dialogue box.
Made for the Trijam #124. A fun little test to see how to use tints and lighting to make it seem like specific times of the day.
Made for the Brakeys Game Jam 2021.1. Was testing how much environments I could make in the time frame. Also wanted to make character dialogue that changes dependent on what characters were in the player's party. Took reference from one of my first attempts of making a game that I unfortunately never got to the state of publishing.
The second game jam I've ever joined. Made for the Easy Jam (8 Bits to Infinity). I wanted to try to make a puzzle game with a progression system.
The first game jam I've ever partaken in . Made for the 2nd RPG Maker GOTM Jam. It was mainly about trying a new experience and seeing how much I could do in the time slot.
