super fun little browser game that's super easy to pick up and play! the developer plans on expanding it a bit more, too, so keep an eye on it if you like playing it! <3

If you are a fan of theoretical video games, or if you spent your childhood daydreaming about the video games you would someday create, I could not more highly recommend this book.
The monster designs are cohesive and charming, and the plot and deeper themes of this imaginary game are easily communicated through monster summaries alone - an impressive feat!
It is also quite casually queer, which makes it that much more lovely of a read.

play this game or im gonna leave you at the mochi shop

--- spoiler-free endorsement below ---

Incredibly charming visual novel that's short, sweet, and does leave hints at something more to come (though I recommend checking the developer's commentary afterwards, for full clarity).
Characters are well-written and very lovable, and the game's interesting approach to its own spin makes it very fun to replay.
Being nonbinary myself, I am particularly endeared by the nonbinary inclusions in the game. <3

If you enjoyed (or respected) Doki Doki Literature Club!, you will very likely enjoy this game as well!

Role Playing

play this game or i'll intercept your pizza deliveries and take a bite out of all of the pieces forever

--- spoiler-free endorsement below ---

Extremely enjoyable procedurally-generated horror CRPG that boasts an impressively unnerving atmosphere and easy-to-learn mechanics.
Small lore hooks salt-and-peppered throughout its runtime (and tightly-designed overworld) leaves players with questions to ponder even after the game's completion.
Aesthetic hits the perfect blend of nostalgia and unsettling, and as a whole very much stands uniquely apart from other pizza-related horror titles.
Soundtrack is f**king incredible. That's it. Audio gold.
There is a known bug with HP display in the final boss fight, but it is still very, very playable.

play this game or i will sit on your porch and read slam poetry at you until you do (and also maybe cry)

--- spoiler-free endorsement below for anybody that has still not heard of this game ---

Extremely well-written and endearing visual novel about four high school girls and their love of poetry.
Very quick game to pick up and play through; only takes a few hours to fully complete.
This game does tackle some heavier topics, so please be careful while playing - if you struggle with depression, anxiety, and related, you may want to skip this game (or spoil yourself for its most major plot points before you play it; it is STILL an extremely good game even if you are aware of its beats).
Excellent soundtrack means I must encourage anyone who can do so to purchase the bonus content bundle ;)
