Hypnoid Humanoids is an Asteroids clone where you protect your dreams, and attempt to leave behind the barriers to you achieving those dreams. Made in a week for the GJL Game Parade Fall 2021 in Unity, using Wwise audio middleware.

Samuel's first Unreal game, Geiger Cubes was made for Ludum Dare 49  as an excuse to learn the engine, and to explore the capabilities of MetaSounds, a new audio feature in UE5. All sounds in the game are implemented in MetaSounds, and make use of both synthesis and sample-based procedural audio. The game is a relaxing FPS playground with no objectives. A moody sandbox of sound exploration.

Bright Ideas is an interactive generative music experience. Control your brain, and collide with different 'ideas' (lightbulbs) to both illuminate and sooth your mind. Made in Unity with Wwise audio middleware. This game was made for the GJL Game Parade Spring 2021, and has since been featured on an experimental music radio show, as it bridges the gaps between being a game, a music composition, and a tool for relaxation.

Happy Sounds Pinball was made for Fuse Jam #4 - Random Access Memories. With a unique staring point per jam participant (mine was a happy emoji and a gif of an oscilloscope) I set out to make a pinball game in Unity, where the state of the bumpers (sleeping or awake faces) determines which layers of an adaptive score can be heard. The adaptive audio system was built in Wwise, with game calls set up in C# to communicate with the middleware.

Songwriter's Block is my first game as a solo developer, and was made for Ludum Dare 47. It is a breakout clone, where you wield your guitar to tackle self-doubt, anxiety and procrastination (your creative blocks) to break out of the loop and progress the background music to the next section (finishing writing the song you are struggling to finish). It was made with Unity and FMOD.
