"Sound of Silence" is an isometric exploration and adventure game in which Jihad attempts to rescue his sister Marwa from under the rubble and, at the same time, find a way to avoid the airstrikes.
This game was developed in 10 days to participate in the Story of Palestine and towards a free Palestine event.
"Sound of Silence" هي لعبة استكشاف ومغامرة يحاول فيها جهاد إنقاذ أخته مروة من تحت الأنقاض، وفي الوقت نفسه، إيجاد طريقة لتجنب الضربات الجوية.
In their collapsed street, Jihad tries to free his little sister Marwa from under the debris of their shelled home. Can Jihad accomplish this while the airstrikes continue on their street, where no one is left to tell their story except you? Search for stories inside the houses on your phone and share them with the world so they don't forget.
In this captivating and emotional RPG the player will start out in a seemingly peaceful town, surrounded by a strong community and family. The player will be able to explore the area, visiting the houses of friends.
However, as the player wakes up one day, everything has drastically changed. Barren land where the once-familiar olive trees once stood, demolished buildings, neighborhoods gone, and the player must navigate through this new landscape.
Throughout their exploration, the player starts to notice remnants of their friends' houses, triggering memories and emotions. These fragments of memorabilia serve as a poignant reminder of the loved ones they have lost.
This game invites players to reflect on themes of loss, resilience, and the enduring power of Palestinians. Also, the game includes pieces of translated notes originally shared by Palestinian Ahmad Alhams from Au Nuseirat camp on the 26th of October 2023.
We hope it offers a unique gaming experience and encourages people to continue fighting for Palestine's freedom.
