This was the first, the one that started it all and gave me the courage to say, "I can do 11 more of these".
Still a personal favorite of mine, a mix of two things I deeply enjoy, the Bible and game development.
I was initially disappointed in this entry, I rushed it out in about 12 hours and knew it was lacking polish, somehow managed to place 13th in several categories.
Very insignificant in terms of story, very significant in terms of the backbone I build for future games using this weapons system. Would love to remaster this and polish it up a lot more.
This was it for me, the point of no turning back. Up and to this point I hadn't publicly announced I was doing the challenge. This was a major story block and I knew once I did this there was no turning back.
One of the first Ideas I had for this project way back in the beginning. A brother up against unfathomable odds trying to take back his city.
Thought this one would break the top 100 for sure, 299 isn't bad either I suppose. Maybe next year?
Another one of my earlier ideas. Super well executed in my opinion, still way to hard for me to even get all 15 stars. I didn't hide anything for getting 100% in this.
First clear and unambiguous sequel in the challenge. Only took 9 games to do it. I am very proud of how this turned out, cutscenes, establishing a clear story. Better then the original in every way yet never got the same following for some reason.
First time trying to make a genuine creepy atmospheric game ... I think I'm going to stick with top down shooters. Best part of this game to me is what happens on level 10.
A month project turned into a month and a half endeavor. Easily the prettiest of all the games on the list. World 2 Level 4 is what you are interested in for the story.
Originally meant to be way larger with way more moving parts. I'm still happy with what it is.
