In The World We Left Behind, play as astronauts trekking across an alien planet. Learn about the planet’s flora and fauna while uncovering vestiges of the past.
The World We Left Behind is GMless and designed for 1-5 players. The game is 44 pages long (including covers), there is zero prep needed to play, and a full game lasts 2-4 sessions. Alternate rules for one-shots are found in the back of the book.
Band-Aids & Bullet Holes is a deck-builder tabletop role-playing game about a tight-knit community of professional assassins, the debts and vendettas they carry, and one person's quest for bloody revenge. Each session emulates a revenge movie like Kill Bill or John Wick in about as much time as it would take to watch one.
I'm having second thoughts on this one. Don't buy it, but I'm not quite ready to remove from the list.
You all, the employees and patrons of your town’s Waffle House, are the last line of defense before this zombie horde fully takes over your town.
The Wizard's Grimoire is a pen-and-paper rpg with a twist. Instead of a GM saying, "hey, I have this game I'd like to run, who's in?" you say, "hey, I'm trying to get my wizard through this spellbook, do you have a minute?"
You need two friends who'll volunteer to play with you. Each session that you play is an episode in your wizard's study and adventures. They can be as short or as long as you like, you can play as often or rarely as you like, and you can have different volunteers, or the same ones, every time you play.
You are Salvager, Courier, Bodyguard, First Responder, Investigator, Debt Collector; whatever you need to be to make ends meet. You will be eaten by the machine the Company owns and operates, or you’ll die trying to escape it. You are subject to the inexorable forces of the universe. You are a mass moving through a vast field of factors and probabilities. You are a ship alone at sea, and the stories of sailors are the strangest and saddest.
Down the Road Through the End of the World is a tabletop role-playing game about a desperate journey through a post-apocalyptic world. It is a highly narrative game that uses Meguey and Vincent Baker’s Otherkind Dice system, which is used in Meguey’s (amazing and very fun!) game PSI*RUN, along with other games.
Against the Monster is a story game about a monster hunt, the good of the monster, and the monstrosity of the hunters. Whether it’s a dragon, vampire, tentacle monster, artificial intelligence, or something else entirely—you’ll decide in which setting you’ll hunt what kind of monster.
Against the Monster is a GM-less Descended from the Queen story game (you may know the mechanics from For the Queen or from our previous project Viva la QueerBar) for 2-6 players and a flexible play time of about 1-4 hours (one-shot).
Stealing the Throne is a storytelling game of giant mecha heists. Zero-prep and GMless, it's specifically designed for exciting one-shot play. Build a Throne, invent its fiendish defences, and then take them apart one-by-one with your crack team of thieves.
