YO ERIS WROTE A BUNCH OF CHARACTER ENCOUNTERS AND DID A BUNCH OF WEIRD WORLDBUILDING I LOVE IT CHECK IT OUT
YO I SPENT TWELVE HOURS WRITING A SKY-DESCRIPTION GENERATOR?????????????????????
This was a fun experience! I did a paper prototype, then hammered out a bunch of design doc for the team, then jumped into the engine to do some continuous integration of the visual assets and inject as much juice as I could into the game! I only got to work on the level design really late because we didn't have working enemies before sunday afternoon, so I think I had about 1h30 to create the levels, which wasn't enough to make a lot of them. But even though it was a bit chaotic of a development process, I think it went much better than other jams I did, and I think that's a great indicator of my progress, both as a dev/designer, but also as a team member!
What an insane experience that jam was! I met so many wonderful people. Got interviewed a few times as well, by journalists from ARTE! What the fuck. Some people even talked shit about my outfits in the chat! Is this what they call being famous?
Worked as a dev for realsies, as well as a game designer, but this was my first time being the main dev from the start. (Like, as an intentional role and not a casualty.) The UX is scuffed though. Also, I can't believe fucking Nagui is in the tags, I can't believe this is my legacy...
I think manta rays are pretty neat. I wonder what gregory's doing now.
Almost an Hen-Bee Pals label game. Honestly, I'm mostly in love with that goddamn artwork, asmar I love you. Cadenska Voldmirovna, take me now.
