Abreaction (noun) - the expression and consequent release of a previously repressed emotion, achieved through reliving the experience that caused it (typically through hypnosis or suggestion).
Abreaction is a game about a teenage boy reliving a game of hide-and-seek with his younger brother, forever chasing him in an eternal game. He is struggling, trying to deal with traumatic instances beyond his control. Only by finding his brother may he finally put to rest this guilt.
Cimmerian Shade: Edge of the World is a Construct 2 game developed in 2014 for the 48 Hour Spring Game Jam at Southern New Hampshire University. The game is based on the theme of "Light".
According to myth, the universe was created in a climactic battle between two beings of immense power. One was benevolent and created the stars, seeding life throughout the universe. The other was dark, and snuffed out life where it found it. However, this was needed to keep a balance, as no planet could be more powerful than its neighbors. But something happened, and the dark spirit surpassed its brother in power, plunging the universe into chaos. Now the life-giving spirit must regain balance, before it is too late.
