Our third set of games. With Sucraiso back on the team, I believe we made better things this time, but still nothing really "wow". Anyway, besides Godot, we also used TIC-80 to make some games this time. It was really nice to use something different!
Begins: May 14, 2018, with Rafael returning to Escada Games.
Ends: Aug 08, 2018, at the WGJ # 56 with Double Sided. This was my first "complete" TIC-80 game (and also first "complete" game made without Godot).
Highlights: "Mizuni's Ghostly Thermal Center!" is one of Sucraiso's favorite game ideas. A multiplayer version is on our to-do list, but without any deadlines. "Double Sided" is a game I want to revisit some day.
My second TIC-80 project, which I made alone. It is quite experimental and takes a bit to get used to, but I could learn a lot with it, and it seemed like a person or two liked it, so win-win!
Not really sure if this one is a game... anyway, I was learning how to work with the TIC-80, and this was my first finished project.
Strangely, it sort of gained a spiritual successor later, called "Placeholder name".
Our entry for the official Godot jam. This game had some flaws: the controls don't feel that good, it is a bit hard, and some visual feedback would be great.
Still, we are very proud of this game, mostly because we made everything in it in the jam period: two days. The idea, code, music, audio, and of course, the graphics, everything was made with lots of haste during two days... and we absolutely love the result, despite it flaws.
I guess that it is because it shows how much we evolved from the beginning of the gamedev: visually the game might resemble Archer Hunter, but from the mechanics to the feel, I think everything improved, even if only a little bit!
The third game of the third season, submitted for Shenanijam 2018. We made this one more for fun than really wanting to get a good score or ranking, and we ended up with something that kinda resembles Redazul... however, somehow this one feels better (at least I think so). For something pretty simple, it's not that bad.
Our second third season game. We tried to make something very close to the GameBoy because one of the jam restrictions, that was three colors only.
The result ended up being very charming I would say! Also, the mechanic is something we are considering making something better out of: it is a platforming Tower Defense game where you need to fuel your towers. Quite experimental, but interesting, imo!
Our first Season 3 game. To say the truth, it is a very simple one, and didn't go very well on the jam it was submitted to. Still, we got a nice score on "Fun", and maybe that's good enough! We also learned some good things.
Redazul's main mechanic is that red enemies are defeated only by bashing against them, with the Right Mouse Button, and blue ones can be defeated only with the gun. It would end up being more interesting with some more polish, I believe.
