Collection of dragon games I've played. Ordered on my enjoyment (Not game quality) (Everything in here is good regardless of order!) with uncompleted at the bottom. Reviews consist of development stage, any content warnings, the review, and completion progress.
[Complete] SFW (optional: basic dragon stuff. required: animal corpse visible)
A classic! I played this game so often when I was a child. Graphics are simple but effective, newspaper clippings provide interesting perspective and commentary. It doesn't have a lot of content but that's not necessarily a bad thing.
100% Complete (Goals, all breaths/dragon behaviors)
[Complete] SFW (optional: staying in the closet. required: discussion of suicide, abortion, homophobia)
Really interesting usage of dragons and humans in the world. It's an interesting way to show her semi-dehumanization. I like how you can really feel the pressure of marriage and children from every direction in her life. I can't say I grappled with the idea of staying closeted too hard, so this has helped me see the surroundings of someone who is. Many thanks to the author for the english translation.
100% Complete (No goals, I don't think I could stomach not coming out.)
[Complete] SFW (required: basic dragon stuff)
Ah, I too wanted puzzle dragons on PC......... Anyways, the art is good, nothing more detailed than it needs to be. Actually, why do I comment on art at all? I can't easily say degrade something people pour passion into. Basically, I loved it. I put more thought into my moves here than on actual PAD.
100% Complete (No goals, beat all opponents)
[Complete] SFW (optional: basic dragon stuff)
A game about balancing money. This game isn't particularly difficult and strategy was simple too. Perhaps an exhaustion after each 15 mana attack? ...No, definitely not. Why introduce difficulty where it's not needed? But spamming the bigger attack and picking the right element was all I needed to do. Eh. Reached day 14 with my leftover funds after beating each dragon. The sprite pack used has nice dragon horns.
Edit: Not sure if the devs edited after my review or I was just hallucinating but this is complete. Also edited some retrospectives in the review. Still if you've got 30 minutes to burn give it a shot!
100% Complete (Goals, defeat all dragons, fully upgrade all dragons)

Although it's not really all that dragon-focused... I'll put it here. I think I would've eaten my mouse if I didn't have an autoclicker. This is much more enjoyable with one. It was super satisfying, though I'm sure I missed out on a lot of the experience by not, y'know, clicking. But also arm problems. The art was nice, everything felt kinetic, and I really couldn't stop until I finished.
100% Complete (Goals, reach 'ending', all upgrades, cleared in 14 minutes)
[Complete] SFW (optional: killing the dragon, suicide)
Encapsulates my feelings on slaying monsters and the like. It's good.
100% Complete (Goals, all endings)
[Complete] SFW (required: basic dragon stuff, killing dragons)
Good game. 20 minute play? Feels good to simply go through as you play again and again. Like unwinding an onion. Bit sad you're forced to kill the dragon at least once.
100% Complete (Goals: all 5 iterations done, no secrets?)
[Complete] SFW (required: basic dragon stuff.)
Way more addicting than it should be. I was first thinking 'yeah, in and out two minutes', then burned all the towns down. I realized that grouping the knights together and watching them walk into a wall of flames was incredibly satisfying for reasons I can't comprehend. So two minutes turned into ten. In my defense, uh,
100% Complete (No goals, burned all towns on a map, reached about 12x score, 30k score)

I love bullying chickens
100% Complete (No goals, 21 kernels)
[Complete] SFW (required: basic dragon stuff)
A game pretty similar to one next to it on this list. The art is really nice, if the cover wasn't already an indication. It's fun and simple which is all I want out of itch.io games.
100% Complete (No goals, reached 5k score)
[WIP Alpha] SFW
Dragon creation game. Would fall to the 'click through 30 arrows to get this design' problem, but there aren't that many options yet. Can't decide which is worse... In the future if there are more options, a UI change would be nice. I can create me pretty closely, but it lacks fur/feather options, and non-fade half legs. Layering was a bit confusing because I thought 1 would be the highest layer. But right now if you just want to freestyle, it's plenty interesting with a smooth, well-done model.
~ Later thoughts
Looks like a lot of features I thought would be nice have been announced for the future, and I'm glad to be tailing along this game. For my kidself who spent a lot of time on creation sites, it's nice to have something to point to now after flash died.
100% Complete (No goals, recreated myself)
[Complete] SFW (required: killing dragons)
Yeah! Turned into a dragon at the end! Okay graphics, quick to finish.
100% Complete (Goals, all levels, secret room)
[Complete] SFW (optional: tutorial end sign about bad dragon NSFW, required: violence animals/humans)
Fun comedy game about burning down people and their houses on a rampage. No story so far, just endless murder. Villager reactions to destruction was funny. "the dragon has a speed of 6, and we only have 1.8" "I think I left my TV on" and the subpar voice acting. Could get boring easily with only one thing to do. It took me about 5 minutes to clear the first level, but I'll edit this in retrospect 100% done. There are upgrades, anyways...
