I'm always iffy about games with comedy, but this one made me genuinely laugh quite a lot - I was having a crappy day and this cheered me right up! The two characters are delightful, and I enjoyed how you figure out the mystery through context clues instead of the actual endings - though I guess I do wish there was a more concrete ending where you solved the crime, but either way it was great!

This cracked me up - the short story has some funny moments not present in the comic, but it's the comic that really brings the story and humor to life!

Though the story was a bit esoteric, it still elicited emotion, and the relaxing music and gameplay helped my anxiety a whole lot!

The comment by red autumn - "tbh, I feel like Emma 'If I can't dance, it's not my revolution' Goldman would not be overly concerned about small pleasures under capitalism..." - probably put it best; because though I really liked the art and aesthetic of this game, I was frustrated with the actual writing - mainly the ending, in which Goldman criticizes the player/creator (since the player more or less seems to play as the person who made this game) for supporting harmful corporations by buying from Amazon. This seems... both unfair and out of character for her.

It's unfair to blame any individual for participating in capitalism, because as the phrase goes, there is no ethical consumption under capitalism. The creator of this game, as well as its players, should not be blamed for purchasing from a corporation in an environment that allows that corporation to become so dominant that it is very difficult, if not impossible, to live without. But it's most frustrating because I'm sure the real Emma Goldman was well aware of this - she spoke of how it was impossible for any person to be free in a capitalist society, and with that naturally comes no freedom to consume ethically. I'm no expert on Goldman, but I do know that the whole reason her paraphrased quote that red autumn mentions above became so inextricably tied to her in the eyes of history is because it represents one of her strongest ideals, controversial with other activists - that wanting to revolt against the system shouldn't mean you must deprive yourself entirely of joy in the life you currently have. So not only is this ending unfair to the players and the creator themselves, it's unfair to Goldman's memory, too. Really, I think Goldman would be sad and frustrated about the current state of the world, like she was in her time - that in the eighty years since she died, there are so many terrible things that haven't changed. But I think she'd blame the perpetrators of this capitalist society - the Musks and the Bezoses, the Wal-Marts and the Apples - rather than its subjects.

The stop-motion animation is impressive, the character designs are quirky, and the concept looks genuinely fun - but when I played it, the lead character's singing voice wasn't my favorite? Not completely terrible, but enough to make me not really want to play the rest of the game. I'm very picky when it comes to musicals and music, so that might have something to do with it, though.

Yeah, not a good one. The twist this has was fairly easy to see coming, and was done *much* better in a much more popular RPG Maker game... though I can't say the name of it, given that that would kind of give it away. The writing was pretty mediocre/over the top, and I really didn't appreciate the suggestion that the murderer was committing murder because "ooh schizophrenic hallucinations scary". Are we not past the demonization of mental illness? Apparently not. Overall the game felt pretty... childish, I suppose.

An adorable game with adorable art, it warmed my heart. That wasn't supposed to rhyme but I guess that's how things go sometimes. Wait that wasn't supposed to rhyme either. I guess I liked this game so much that my brain defaulted to poetry mode lmao

It's been a little while since I played it, so I admit that my brain has lost some of the details - but if it gives you an idea, I played it once many years ago and once one year ago and loved it both times enough to keep playing more games in the series and to subsequently download almost all of the rest of NomnomNami's games. I'm just so happy to see Mochi be the one person (bunny?) that believes Treat is a good person (wolf).
