This is a two-player Cold War spy game that uses the card game Blackjack as its main game-play mechanic. The object of the game is for the player to extricate him or herself from behind the enemy's territory after an espionage mission goes bad.One player plays as CENTRAL, the handler back home--who may or may not want his agent back. the other player acts out the role of Agent 021, desperately trying to get home. Think of John LeCarre cold war Smiley-type thrillers.
This awesome and tidy little game has a booklet for both CENTRAL and Agent 021. They provide the setting and the context for a quick role-playing encounter with the Blackjack cards acting as the dice. Its pretty clever, smartly crafted, and evocative. Dan worked with a friend to develop the text and publication. The bundle even includes a tension-building sound file that you can play on loop: rain, percussion, and suspenseful chords and well, its pretty cool!
