These are the games available on itch.io that I highly suggest you pick up and play.
This game is like if you took Space Invaders and tilted it on it's side so the enemies scroll at you horizontally instead. I made the mistake of playing it like an early 90's SHMUP where enemies just fly right at you but the game actually has a slower pace than that, yet still provides a challenge.
Mobius is a unique twist on the platformer genre where you run around a ring collecting coins. Now, here is where cut the description short because I want everyone to experience the twist. It's a worthwhile game.
Yo, another really barebones sandbox here but if you like playing with particles and physics, then you're gonna have fun assembling a Tower and either seeing how long it stands on it's own or how much abuse it can take from your blocks. Or, you can just throw dynamite at it if you're looking for instant destruction. Also featured are gravity settings which adds to the imaginative stimulation.
A game that takes phone shooters and actually makes them fun. Your ship is continuously moving left or right and the only way to change the direction is by pressing a button or tapping your screen to shoot. Maneuver around while collecting coins to upgrade your shots but also filling up your meter with those coins to reach the next level. Surprisingly simple at first but proves to be a radically challenging game.
A very barebones sandbox, you are tasked with performing experiments and growing your ecosystem using the tools provided. You have infinite reign over how much of each life form you can place around your the area, but the challenge is increasing your reach across the map while maintaining your ecosystem alive and healthy.
Your goal is to reach the end of the dungeon while also collecting power-ups that will help you navigate the more difficult levels and fight bosses. It can be played by up to four players locally and comes with the NES ROM if you want the genuine experience on real hardware.
