Games I've Streamed

This game is a lot of fun. The controls are a little clumsy (I remapped them, then found a mini-game that was terrible for my mapping) on a keyboard. I'd suggest using a game pad. It's pretty light on dialog - or rather there's a lot of space between dialog beats. Achieving what the game asks of you is not particularly difficult but it is charming and the process is enjoyable, making this safe for streaming. There is a high skill ceiling that enables you to accomplish what the game asks of you with very few/no resources. That makes it interesting to stream.

I didn't really care for it. I didn't play it to completion, but as a fun little idle game it's easy to pick up and... well, I didn't find it too challenging, but maybe that picks up later.

This is the kind of game I'd put on 20-some hours into a marathon because my brain is mush.

This game is dumb. I love it!

The game play loop is kind of simple, but it's not hard to play up destruction of a house.

The game did make me a little woozy, and I'm not typical sensitive to first person games. The VR mode sounds like a nightmare, and I will try it on my time.

I like this game a whole big bunch. Buuuuut it is not particularly engaging for a stream.

At the time I played it it was buggy. The game wasn't particularly fun for me personally, but there is definitely an audience for it.

It's easy to not play this game based on ... well, a lot of things associated with the developer. But if you enjoy humor that others may find "in poor taste" than go for it.

Based on the bug I encountered I cannot recommend this game for a stream.

Adventure

This is a classic adventure game. It has the feel of a Lucas Arts game in terms of humor and puzzle logic. Take from that what you will.

I personally am not a fan of point and click adventures, but I got through this game thanks to limited options. It was made for a game jam, and the time crunch shows from the animation to the puzzles. The English is just weird enough to let you know a non-native speaker wrote it.

That isn't to speak against the talent and skill here. I think if they had the time to flesh the game out more it would be a fantastic old school adventure title worthy of ... what do those games go for now? $20? The market is rough.

As for streaming, depends on your audience. Would you play Sam and Max on your stream? Then this might be a good "Oh crap, I finished the game an hour early what do I do?" sort of game.

I liked this game quite a bit. It felt like watching Ask a Mortician - so much so that I wonder if the game was based on her. This game also reminded me a lot of a woman I dated. I had to give her the mac copy. Sorry probably-awesome-person developer!

As for streaming - this game is mostly a visual novel. And it's a good one. I know some of these people, and they're the best people. The game play seems more edutainment than anything else. I enjoyed it. I think my audience enjoyed it. It was brief, didn't overstay it's welcome, but got a little close (I was throwing remains in the bone grinder thing near the end with morbid glee).

This game is beautiful, it makes me want to go hug a mortician and thank them for caring for the dead and the grieving. Speaking of - there is a moral question posed in the game with no right answer. I imagine it's a question actual morticians have to think about. It helped me consider my own death, how I'll be remembered and what I want people to get out of my funeral.

So good.

Strategy

This game looks super interesting for the steampunk airship building and tactics squad. Unfortunately I am so far from that person I gave up during the tutorial. The controls and UX are probably serviceable, but they were just unpleasant enough for me drop out.

I hope this game finds it's audience. This looks cool in the way that Warhammer is cool. Someone is going to love it, just not me.

Visual Novel

I think I like it, even if it is taking it's time getting started. It's a visual novel and, while it looks cool, it's not stream friendly. You can't just read as sometimes there's voice acting. You can't just let voice acting handle it because the majority of dialog is just text.

I'll play this through off stream.
