Welcome to the Endless Horror Jam, a horror game jam where your only goal is to create an experience that never ends—a looped nightmare, an inescapable void, or a reality that warps the further you go.

👁️ What happens when you’re trapped? When the horror never stops? When the fear loops forever? That’s what this jam is all about.

📜 THEME: "ENDLESS"

Your game must incorporate the theme "Endless" in a meaningful way. You can interpret this however you want, but here are some ideas to inspire you:

🎭 Possible Interpretations

  • 🌀 Endless Stairwells – No matter how far you climb, you never reach the top… or the bottom. The space between steps is shifting, and you’re not the only one here.
  • 🚪 Endless Hallways – Every door leads back to where you started. But something is different this time. The wallpaper is peeling. The light at the end is getting dimmer.
  • 🚗 The Road That Never Ends – A driver lost on an empty highway that loops infinitely, passing the same gas station, the same street signs… and the same shadowy figure standing by the road.
  • 📺 VHS Tapes That Never Stop – A cursed tape that keeps playing, even when unplugged. The footage changes each time, revealing things that weren’t there before.
  • 🎢 Infinite Reality – The world resets every time you wake up, but something is always off—a missing door, a face in the window, a voice calling your name.
  • 🎠 The Carnival That Never Closes – A haunted fairground where the rides never stop, the exit signs are illusions, and the loudspeaker keeps announcing, "Closing time is never."
  • 💡 The Light That Won’t Stay On – A flickering bulb is the only thing keeping the darkness at bay. When the light goes out, the silence changes. Something moves.

📌 The horror should not just be endless in name, but in experience. The player should FEEL trapped. Whether it's a time loop, a cursed location, or a creeping realization that there is no way out, your game should make the player dread every step forward.

  • Any game engine (Unreal, Unity, Godot, etc.).
  • Pre-made assets are allowed, but your game must be created during the jam period.
  • AI-generated content is discouraged—this is about human creativity.
  • Solo or teams – Work alone or with friends!

  • No NSFW content (gore is fine, but nothing extreme that violates itch.io rules).
  • No offensive, hateful, or discriminatory material.
  • No previously created full games—this jam is for new ideas!
