This game has tension out the wazoo! The limited view and constant darkness definitely had me on the edge of my seat the entire time. This game seems to be less about story and more about experience. The game really wants you to walk around seeking out telephones by listening out for them, forcing you to re-enact the experience of wandering through a darkened house at night. It's unnerving!
Unfortunately, I had trouble engaging with it because of that; I have hearing issues and struggled to hear the phones, even with the sound cranked up. Having limited visuals did not help. Thus, the only real objective became nearly impossible to do. I ended up needing to bring in a friend who can hear to help me finish this game. I don't think this should discourage you from trying this game, but if you're also hard of hearing, you'll have trouble finishing it.
