Gameplay Instructions
Hell, My Name is Buba puts you in the shoes of Buba, Hell's lone Janitor. Satan has tasked you with clearing out the dearly departed from the newly constructed Hellfire Arena. Facing overwhelming odds, Buba picks up his trusty Blunderbuss and heads out to do the Devil's dirty work.
Note: the uploaded build has a few minor bugs. We suggest turning down the music volume in the options menu at the start of the game. We will post a patched build once uploads unlock after the Epic Games 2021 Jam concludes.
A Dynamic Arena: Your discarded ammo becomes part of the landscape! You must carefully manage the number of shots you take or risk inhibiting your own movement.
Ruthless Enemies: The denizens of Hell will work together to take Buba down. The lost and the damned will attempt to shoot their way to freedom, while others will do everything in their power to use your own weapons against you.
Seige-based Combat: Hold out as long as you can! Use every resource at your disposal to avoid running out of space!
Arsenal:
Hellfire Shotgun: Player character’s signature weapon. A single round shotgun that can shoot a variety of different ammo types at enemies.
Hellfire Shells: The player starts the game with these equipped. Infinite ammo. Can take down a base enemy in 2 shots. Discarded shells can explode when touched.
Satan’s Breath Shells: These shells shoot massive fireballs that can one-shot weak enemies and do AOE damage on impact. Discarded shells can explode when touched.
Sulfur Shot Shells: Massive burst of Sulfuric gas that can launch enemies and physics objects out of your way. Can also move the player backward while airborne.
Angel’s Tears Shells: Fires an AOE field that heals you while you're in it. Can restore up to 25%-35% of health per shot.
Controls:
Left mouse button to fire normal shells.
Right Mouse button to fire special shells.
Spacebar to jump.
Middle mouse wheel OR 1, 2, and 3, to switch ammo types.
Buba reloads after each shot, but you can also reload manually by pressing R.
Full Options Menu complete with audio sliders and resolution settings.
