I love the art style for this game! It's what would happen if Link's Awakening was done in pink instead of green. Everything looks fantastic. Honestly, it looks like a professional made it!

Regarding the design, there are a few problems I'd like to note: The thing that makes the lost woods in Ocarina of Time fun is that at first it feels impassible until you learn about the song gimmick, then you can easily get through it. There doesn't appear to be anything like that here. From what I can tell, it's pretty much just guess and check. If there were clues to solve, I can't say I understood them. I got to the part that says "don't trust other travelers" and immediately thought "the guy at the start of the game said to trust him and go west" so I restarted the game and tried the other directions. Didn't work. Rather than redo the trial and error that got me as far as it did, I quit there. Players want to feel smart or clever, but using trial and error as a mechanic just makes them feel impatient. You want clues that feel somewhat obvious to you, because you're the one who wrote them. Your players won't have that extra info, so to them, what's obvious to you will likely be a challenge for them.

The combat feels really good. I would recommend a small increase to the player's movement speed, but the weight of the sword feels awesome. You did a great job here

I don't think the maze crawler vibe works well for this game, but I see the skeleton of a really good Zelda-like here if you choose to repurpose the parts that work! I can't wait to see what you make next!

This was a cute little game! I love the artstyle, and I enjoyed the combat too! I thin that I would enjoy it more if there were little clues as to what direction to go, but I find the game very impressive for how little time you got to make it!
