Games must be submitted to this itch.io page before 5:00pm on February 23rd, 2025

Teams may consist of 1-6 people, and can also include ONE freshman "shadow" who would not be eligible for prizes but can contribute to the project and can be credited accordingly.

Games must incorporate the theme in some way.

Assets used must be either FREE or created by a team member. If they are free assets you must have the rights to use them.  Check out the IGDA Free Asset Drive!

AI assisted assets are not allowed.

All categories are decided by a panel of Industry Judges: 

Best Overall winners will receive $25 in steam credit each.  

Best Art Direction winners will receive $15 in steam credit each.

Most Unique Gameplay Loop winners will receive $15 in steam credit each.

Teams can only win one category. Shadows and non Clark Students are ineligible to receive prizes.

❓ FAQ ❓

Q: When can I start work on my game? A: You can’t start until 5:00pm on February 21st. You can prepare for the jam by making sure your software is up to date.

Q: How do I form a team? A: Our Discord is full of student developers you can team up with. We will have an in-person mixer on February 21st at 4:00PM where you can meet people to form a team with. Can't make it? Sign up here.

Q: What can I use to make my game? A: There are no restrictions on what engine is used as long as you can submit your game to itch.io; Unity, Godot, Unreal, Twine, GameMaker, etc. are all encouraged! Any AI generation resources or software are not allowed. Creative solutions are allowed as long as the solution includes an objective, an outcome, and a set of rules to get there. (Pygame, powerpoint game, scratch, etc.).

Q: How are the games Presented and Judged? A: Once submissions close at 5:00PM on February 23rd, you will have 5 minutes to present your game to our panel of judges. At least one team member must be in person at the event in order to present the game. After all the groups are done presenting the judges will leave to playtest the games and come back with the verdict at roughly 9-10PM.
