This jam is now over. It ran from 2022-01-07 06:00:00 to 2022-01-31 06:00:00. View results
The goal: make 12 playable games this year by finishing one game per month. It doesn't have to be the next epic open-world MMORPG (in fact, it won't be); just focus on making small playable games. Consider it a proving ground for some of your ideas.
What tools or language should I use?
Whatever you like. Code in Basic or Game Maker or Atari Assembler if you want. Just make sure the assets you use are your own (or you have the appropriate permissions if they're not).
What do I win?
You have a playable game that you made yourself at the end of every month, and the pride of knowing you created something awesome and unique.
Each Jam ends on (or near) the last day of the month; the end product should be able to run as an executable or the equivalent. If I have to download a dozen Python libraries to run it, I probably won't bother.
What's the theme?
For the moment, let's just focus on making a finished game. For later jams I'll post a couple of optional modifiers for those who may want a bit of direction or focus.
