Welcome to the Official 2D Game Jam, a premier event dedicated exclusively to the creation of 2D games.
This is a 10 day game development event for which the gates open on the 21st of June until the 30th of June. After this development period, the voting begins!
This jam is specifically designed to celebrate the art and craft of 2D game development.
In order to be able to win and get the potential prizes from this jam, as well as get all the news about the jam, ask for assistance or simply engage and share with the other developers, please join the official discord server.

Participation in the 2D Game Jam is open to everyone, regardless of skill level or background. Here are the key details for participating:
- Whether you are a beginner, an intermediate developer, or a seasoned pro, you are welcome to join. This jam is a great opportunity for learning, growth, and showcasing your talents.
- You can participate as a solo developer or form a team with up to three members. Collaborate with others to combine your strengths and create something truly unique.
- Each team member must be registered as a contributor on the itch.io game page for your entry. This ensures that everyone who worked on the game is properly credited.
- All game submissions must be made through the itch.io platform. Make sure your game is properly uploaded and accessible to the judges and other participants.
- All game assets, including graphics, sound, and code, must be created by the participants during the jam period. Using pre-made or purchased assets is not allowed, to ensure a fair and level playing field.
- All content must be created during the jam. Any assets or game elements created prior to the start of the jam are not permitted.
-Any and every engine is acceptable as long as you can export it as html to be played in browser, or exe to be played as downloadable file. Any music/art tools are allowed.
