Overall nicely presented with some good research especially with the pose screenshots. The idle was pretty good however it would be nice to see more anticipation in the actions to give it some extra performance onscreen.
Really nice idle pose!
This is a good entry that shows some real potential. The character has personality and there is some good execution of the animation principles.
Idle
The idle has a strong default pose which is good to see, this gives us some ideas of the characters personality and what they're like. The feet are quite still, and it would be good to see the weight shifting on them a little more, even if only to see the character lifting their heel slighly. The shoulder movement has a bit of a pop to it which makes it quite clear when the animation is cycling. Smooth that out and it will look much better.
Power Up and Release
The power up and release animation has some really nice poses in it, however it is the in betweens that are letting the animation down. The character comes across as quite floaty, as they're not shifting their weight over the leg to support themselves as they move forwards, this is where strong in between poses come in. The feet are also sliding because of this.
In general, this project is off to a good start but is lacking some detail and polish. Focus on adding in those strong in between so that the whole animations flows nicely, as whilst strong keyposes are very important, they're closely followed by strong in betweens.
