Creators of all types; we cordially invite you to take part in the:
BUILD-A-BASE BUILD JAM!
This will run from 28th September 7pm BST - 11th October 10am BST.
"But what does that mean?". Imagine Build-A-Bear. But a Base.
We'd like to see you create something that can be used as a base for any type of experience in Crayta. Remember that this is a build jam and not a game jam so we're looking for packaged up constructions or code that will help other creators in future, rather than just a finished game or something that's only useful for you.
- It could be an amazing building layout with a tonne of gameplay potential for others to add later
- It could be a set of creative portals and code packages to help someone build their own Hub
- Or maybe it's a collection of useful items and mechanics that someone could use to host a social hangout, online party or event.
But these are just ideas to give you a jumping off point! The team here at Unit 2 will be judging all the entries and we'll be looking for versatility, usability and creativity above all.

Best Architectural Design - show us your building design skills!
Most Efficient - something that looks great or is really inventive, but it also performs well technically
Best Code Based Package - our in-house creators will be looking for ingenuinity and usefulness here
Most Aesthetically pleasing - the most beautiful creation
Best Hangout/Social Space - give us something to replace those dull Zoom parties we're all sick of!
Most Versatile - a package of code or meshes that has the most potential to be used in different ways.
Most Unexpected/Outside the Box - you always suprise us so this is your challenge to really get those creative juices flowing!
Most Technically Impressive - something that's either beautifully or creatively coded, a mechanic that uses Crayta in poweful new way, or a construction that we never thought could be made.
We'll also have up to six $500 runners-up prizes for those honourable mentions that we just have to tell people about. It'll be possible to win more than one of these categories but we'd love to see as much variety as possible so get building!
Once You're Ready To Submit
Turn your build, whether it's code, voxels, physical or whatever, into a 'Package' in Crayta. If you're not how to do that, check the Tutorial on it on our Developer Page, or join our Discord.
Once you're done, make sure to create a Package Guide on the Forum, and link it on the submission here on the itch page! You'll find an example submission on there to get you started!
Feel free to create a showcase game/world, which shows off the way your package could be used, or environments it looks best in! Please link this in your submission also!
