A Game By Its Cover is an annual game jam about turning the fictional cartridge art of the My Famicase Exhibition into the real thing. We intend AGBIC to be as relaxed as possible. This means no rankings, no competition, no voting or scoring, and no prizes.

Our (optional) theme for this year is:

Submissions are open all through August (and maybe a little longer, who knows). Update: Hey we extended the jam, the new deadline is now September 14th (more or less, depending on your timezone).

Browse the exhibition, pick something that inspires you, take your time, chill, and turn it into a game! (it actually doesn't even have to be a game, anything you wanna do is fine)
