Accessajam is a weeklong accessibility themed game jam that will take place between November 3 and November 9, 2017! All entries must both include an accessibility feature and be based on the theme Meet The Neighbors!  A week after the close of the jam, all games will be played live on stream with commentary by judges and guests.  Winners will be announced on stream 11/25.

Rules

  • Don't use other people's copyrighted material
  • Don't start before the start date
  • Entries that include hate speech, harassment, or other forms of malicious content will be disqualified. Use your best judgment; if you aren't sure if what you're planning is OK, ask an organizer

Judges: Xibanya, John Warren, Marben, SnowSchu, and others TBA.  Each judge will have a block of entries to play and will nominate games from their block for consideration in the categories. All judges will play all nominees and then come to a consensus on the winners. Judging brackets to be announced after close of submissions.

Prizes will be neat buttons and magnets made by SnowSchu with the winning games' art!

A: No

Q: What time zone determines the start and end dates?
A: Central Standard Time (CST, GMT - 6) 

Q: Can I join the jam after it has already started?
A: Yes, you can join at any time. You just have to submit a game before the deadline. 

Q: Can I work with a team?
A: Yes

Q: Can I be a member of more than one team?
A: Yes

Q: Can I use open source assets, unity store assets, or other assets that are available to the general public?
A: Yes

Q: What happens if I don't finish my game in time?
A: Your game won't be judged and won't be played on the livestream. I still encourage you to finish on your own time though.

Q: Can I update my game after the end of the jam?
A: Yes but judging will be based on the copy that was submitted by the deadline.

Q: If a game wins and it was made by multiple people, who gets the prize?
A: The person who submitted the game, who can then distribute as they see fit.
