Let's make some accessible adventures!

What do we mean by accessible adventure?
By accessible, we mean written with disabled characters in mind, and written without ableist design. A lot of adventure design is unnecessarily ableist, in that is excludes characters in wheelchairs or with mobility aids, for no real reason. This means things like having ramps instead of stairs, doors being a little wider, puzzles designed so that a wheelchair using character can still reach and solve them. These are all things that are easy to do in adventure design, but are often left out because it isn't thought about. Accessible adventures are inclusive of all characters! We also highly encourage including disabled NPCs. In short: adventures written with disability inclusion in the design.

The goal of the Accessible Adventure Jam is:
- To uplift and promote disabled creators.
- Bring together a collection of accessible adventures ready for any GM.
- To bring attention to the fact that ableism in adventure design is unnecessary.

What happens after the Jam?
The plan is to create a bundle including all of the adventures. This will be heavily promoted on the DnD Disability twitter! This is some of the after-Jam promoting/uplifting of the disabled creators who join that we plan to do. The bundle will also be a fantastic one-stop place for getting hopefully lots of accessible adventures!

Some Ground Rules:
- You must be disabled to join. We will not ask for proof! Disabled is how you define it for yourself. If you consider yourself disabled physically, from an invisible disability, or neurodivergency, you are welcome here. No one will be demanding proof or excluding.

- The adventure should be D&D (make sure you are following the SRD so it can be published on itch!), or system neutral. We may do a broader Jam in the future, but this is what we're planning for this time!

- Make sure a plain text (non-stylized) pdf copy is included as well as any stylized one. A dyslexic-font copy is a great idea as well. If you're able, please tag all pdfs for screenreader use! (Able to be done in LibreOffice, InDesign, I'm sure there's plenty others). All copies are not a rule, but we do ask that if you do stylized, you include at least the plain text copy as well. We want these to be as accessible to everyone as possible!

- Not a rule, but we do encourage you to price your adventure. We want to help bring some income to those who join. You deserve to be paid for your work! If you're not sure on pricing, or need someone to go over it with you, never hesitate to reach out to me on the DnD Disability twitter.

#AccessibleAdventureJam - join the hashtag!
I will be following the hashtag on twitter, and sharing everyone's progress and adventures as they're added! I want to hype you up - so make sure you use the hashtag or @dnddisability so I see it!

That's about it! Let's get together and create some disabled-written accessible adventures!
