Stressing out about finals? Take a break and work on the ACM Studio Cozy Jam! It's a 36 hour long minijam, where the goal is to make a cozy/relaxing game! Think games like Animal Crossing, webfishing, cookie clicker, and more. Don't worry about making something big during this jam - the goal is to make a small but enjoyable and destressing experience! It's all happening February 21st-23rd!

WHEN/WHERE?

Cozy Jam kicks off on Friday, February 21st at 6:00 PM in 4760 Boelter Hall. The jam is set to officially start at 6:30 PM. This means the jam will end at 7:00 AM on Sunday, February 23rd. Discord text + voice channels for your team will be available in the ACM Studio Game Jams Discord Server.

WHO AM I COMPETING WITH?

You can compete by yourself, with a premade team, or be placed into a team. Team formation will be on a rolling basis. Please sign up by February 19th at 11:59 PM to have the best chance of being assigned to a complete team before the jam starts. Everybody is welcome, regardless of experience level. Note that due to the collaborative nature of the game jam, at least one person from each team must be present for kickoff to chose a theme. If you'd like to participate in the Gift Jam, please fill out THIS FORM by February 19th at 11:59 PM

RULES

1.  Your game must match the theme of being cozy! However you interpret that is up to you.

2. You must submit your game as a WebGL / HTML5 build so that it can be played in browser. If you are not able to do so, you will not be considered to have your game on the ACM Studio website.

3. Your game must be playable with a keyboard and/or mouse in order to be eligible to be put on the ACM Studio website.

4. In order to receive a prize from the game jam, you need to currently be enrolled as a UCLA  student. You can still participate in the game jam if not, you will just not be eligible to receive a prize.

5.  No using any type of generative AI for game assets! Generative AI is lame!
