This game jam is hosted by the ACULt, if you would like to join in on other events please join the Discord Server.

The primary focus of these game jams is learning, whether you are new to game development, or experienced with game jams, you are encouraged to focus on testing yourself and try something new. This first jam will be over 3 days but if this goes well the window will likely be extended to a week to hopefully give everyone who wants a shot, a chance to make something.

Rules

• Anything and everything listed in the Itch.io TOS.

• All submissions must be created during the duration of the jam.

• Your submission must be able to be run in the browser.

• AI is allowed for learning purposes but forbidden for use on Visual and Audio assets.

• All submissions must be appropriate for all ages.

• While constructive criticism is allowed, directly targeting submissions with malicious intent is forbidden.

• Use common sense :)

Voting

All submissions for the jam are given the same criteria: Fun, Theme, Innovation, Presentation, and Gems. These categories are further explained below.

Fun

• Was the submission enjoyable to play?
• Would you want to see a full version of this concept?

Theme

• Does the submission fit into the Jam theme?
• Does the submission benefit from the theme?

Innovation

• Does the submission present a new idea?
• Does the submission combine existing ideas in a new way?
• Does the submission have an interesting take on the Jam theme?

Presentation

• Is the submissions design consistent across the board?
• Does the style add to the tone/mood of the submission?

Gems

• A special category decided by the Judges of the Jam.
• Points are awarded by Judges for games that even if not the best overall are still to good to not receive recognition for one reason or another.
