My first 2D game attempt. Could not complete it or make it the way I wanted but it was fun.

This artwork is BEAUTIFUL!!! The animation, music, and magical environment are very well done.

One of the biggest things I think would help this game is to have a zoom feature to zoom the camera in and out. I feel like this would be fairly easy to implement and extremely beneficial to the player. I would just walk into the enemy and get hit with very little room to know that they're there. The zoom feature would solve this issue.

I'm guessing since it's unfinished, once the player defeats all the enemies with the potion it just sends them to the game over screen. That's a bit confusing to the player if they don't know that this game is incomplete, maybe just create a copy of the game over screen but with text that says something like "You did it! You saved the magical school from the army of monsters!" or "End of demo" just so the player knows that they've reached the end.

If I'm being extremely critical, then an animation on the star below the player would be really cool, especially if it was initially just the player but then once they get the potion the star gets added below them and glows/expands when they use the potion attack.

Overall incredible artwork and I'd be interested in playing the full version if you decide to finish it! :)

As a first game this is really impressive! It has nice little touches like how her hair bounces when she walks. I know it's not finished, so I won't be nitpicky, but it did feel like it might not be possible to get past the first fight after you get the potion--you get the attack ability and then you immediately have to fight a really large number of different enemies all at once! I hope you will keep working on it and finish it so that it really represents your vision for this game.

This looks really good for a first full game (I'm also a beginner and really bad at game making). The shooting was a fun mechanic and I always felt like I was in danger wherever I went. A major improvement you could make would be to make the view more zoomed out since it would help  make navigating through the environment a bit easier and it would make enemy dodging more fair.

This looks great so far ^^

The dialogue box is really tiny compared to the entire game, though. I ran into the bull (or more rather the bull ran in to ME lol) when the text box appeared about something unrelated and it took my attention away from that immediate danger.

The dialogue box is really pretty btw, I like the graphics going on in this c:
