i liked the game overall but the plot twist was too sudden, had no buildup, and thus felt rushed & crammed into the finished game. games also a bit buggy but imo thats not a problem since this was made for a gamejam
I really enjoyed this. The puzzles may be simple(ish), but the story is quite compelling.
Amazing throwback to the classic point-n-click era with an excellently-written, captivating and cheeky story. Despite the obvious Dune trappings, at its heart it's more of 'The name of the rose'. All Chekhov's guns are in place, and after initial exploration the mystery starts making total sense, as does the main character's arc. The sheer amount of animations is baffling, as well.
My only gripe was that the interface interaction could use a little bit more polish (a misclick or two could lead to a frustrating wait), but I'm guessing that's just the standard AGS functionality.
(Not sure if this game is popular or underrated, but I've found it pretty randomly, and I'm sure indie dev subreddits would absolutely love it!)
great game :) i just love your pixel art style <3 great work mate keep it up
