Simple but sharp and to the point graphic, I like it. Music is really nice, creates a mysterious and somewhat eerie mood. And even though the loop is short it doesn't really get annoying. Nice work. I dig the mech switching mechanic. Switching between them on the fly when you need them is quite engaging and makes it feel strategic in a way, also good job on making it fast and simple, keep it that way. Though I feel than instead of having the cursor always be in the center when you bring up the switch screen, you could perhaps have it appear focused on the current mech you're using. Though some people might prefer it the way it is now, maybe you could make it a toggle-able option, it shouldn't bee too hard to implement. Heh nice touch in having the chip fall asleep if you idle for too long. I like the way saving works, though you could have the crane thing automatically drop you after you're charged, perhaps after a certain period of time(something like 3 seconds). The way it's now is alright but kinda confusing in a way. I mean if they're machines it would make sense for things like this to happen automatically. One weird thing I noticed is that, if you're under the save crane and you keep holding the ability button after doing a super jump with the jump mech, the save crane won't detect/pick you up. It's not really a problem just though it might be worth mentioning. One thing to note is that I first thought the big switch buttons looked like some kind of chests at first The snake bar was really nice, while simple it made you make use all of your abilities together one after another. It serves as a good tutorial that doesn't really feel like one, which is good. It's also a preview of things to come gameplay wise and what will be required of the player further down the line. Also I like how, if you shot the bomb from the tank mech to the left wall during the snake boss, it bounce right to the boss' position. Something tells me that this was intended, if so, nice job. Only complaint I have about it is that the boss could have less health, since once you figure him out, he becomes really simple and it's just a matter of simple attrition. I think you could cut his health down by, lets say, 3 bombs. Also the big diving suit enemies could just have a tad less health, maybe 3 or 4 snake shots less. I mean your game is not exactly focused on combat alone, so I don't think it needs tanky enemies that can be easily take down by wailing at them form a safe distance. I like how you used the enemies to tell the player that the snake mech can walk on spikes. I gotta say the level design is pretty solid with good save points, very metroidvania-like over all. Only made it to the part after the flamethrower room where there's a locked door with a save point, will probably try to play it to competition afterwards, if I can. Regardless this was quite a long demo and never was I really bored during it. Very good job over all. If you can keep the interesting and not too confusing level design(though that might be a bit tricky with metroidvania-type games) this game can end up really nice. Honestly the game's art could use a tad more detail, though I'm sure you're aware, for example the snake mech could have have some more lines that imply it's segmented or something like that. You know how superficial people are, especially today. If it doesn't catch their eye right away then they probably won't pay attention to it, so make sure your present your game properly. While playing I didn't really encounter any bugs. Overall good job and nicely done, I had fun with it.
