How your entry fits the theme
This game is puzzle-platformer focused on movement in bird and human forms. The main character that you play as, Bella, can transform into a bird.

Diversifiers used
- New To Me: This is the first time I programmed character movement. Despite working in games I have never explored game movement from scratch. I've also never made sound effects before.
- Chipping in: This game uses 16bit visuals, which I'm not sure fits this diversifier perfectly but is definitely retro.
- Owl Be Seeing You: The player learns how to transform into bird by speaking with a large great horned owl.
- Prairie Province: The game features a mountainous background but not prairie and wheat. Definitely more on the Jasper side :)
- Pacifist Run: This is a pure platforming game with no combat.
- Universal Translating: This game features no text. The ending has a 'thank you for playing'/credits text is all.

I couldn't seem to turn into a bird. all I could do was run around and jump.

You don't receive the ability until you talk to the owl, after unlocking the first door ^^

Ah, I got up to that platform, but I guess I missed the button. My blue light filter was probably on at the time so I couldn't see it.

The flying feels good, and playing with momentum in the way you are is very interesting although I had a hard time with the last level. I was not holding the dpad down after being flung through the barrier, as that didn't instinctually make any sense to me to gain momentum while not in bird form.

Also, I found a way to cheese some levels by just hammering on the a button. you gradually gain altitude just jumping up a little bit at a time. :D
