What are ALT+CTRL games?
ALT+CTRL or alt.ctrl (Alternative Controllers) games are video games that use unconventional controllers. Traditional controllers include keyboards, mice, gamepads, touchscreens, and devices like Wiimotes, PS Move, Kinects, and Leap Motion. Essentially, these are controllers made by video game manufacturers that you can purchase.
Alternative controllers, on the other hand, are anything but traditional. They can be any object, device, or contraption that you can repurpose to control a game.
Aren't ALT+CTRL games only playable at events and such?
Typically, ALT+CTRL games are showcased at events like festivals and art exhibits. However, they can also be made for home play by creatively reimagining standard controllers! Examples include: Good Soup MF, B.U.T.T.O.N., Johan Sebastian Joust, Bounden, Fingle, Tie Simulator, Space team...
