The drone underlying the bell tones really sells the frozen vibe for me. I love the skittering mechanical sounds which captures the imagery of many of the metroid enemies for me. The gentle lulling rhythm gives a sense of relative safety, but the meandering bells add the element of discomfort that tells me I still need to be careful of enemies. I like that your track focused on the ambience and feel of the level location which lends itself well to Metroid music. I think that this track would fit really well for the indoor portions of the Phendrana Drifts level in particular because the water-drop bells toward the end make me feel like I’m inside a cave. Overall I like the direction you went with this. Great work and thank you for sharing!
