I really appreciate what you did in 7days..i enjoyed the game

the only critic i have is you did not include the mouse control in a fps game

and also i recommend you to implemnt menu from where you can exit the game....or get back to main menu

however it was fun....good luck with ur games !

Developer

Thanks for playing I will really improve this game, I did not understood what you are trying to say by mouse control in fps game.

Hey there. I played your game, and I think it has an excellent idea there. It would be more enjoyable if it was more polished. I did not see most of the UI because of my native resolution. You can anchor UI elements to its borders or get the UNITY AUTOMATIC UI ANCHORING plugin to fix UI problems.

Additionally, Unity has an option to let people choose the resolution before starting. It has to be somewhere in the project management section, so I would prefer the resolution you planned players to use. To test UI scaling, you can change aspect ratios during the play mode in the Unity Editor.

If you want me to cut your game out of the video, let me know. However, I still hope that you like the video and subscribe because I make such videos every day.

thanks for playing my game, the UI was full at my PC so I thought I would be the same in others too, sorry for the UI problem, because of that you even cannot read the rules, that resulted in bad experience. Sorry for that

It is not a bad experience. The reason I make these videos is that you would see how others play your games. I still enjoy playing any games. I have some new experience every day. It is my pleasure to check them, so you would become more experienced and make better games in the future.

First of all very nice effort.

Feedback::

1.)  Make your UI scalable and add anchor points to it.

2.)   Change the shooting button from enter key to mouse button.

3.)  Improve your enemy AI cause it just sticks to player when player runs away from enemy.

use  (nav mesh) for enemy to follow the player and use the MoveTowards() function in the enemy script.

4.) Add Textures to your ground and walls.

5.) Add sway to your weapon and also add recoil animation to it.

6.) Make your map bigger. You can make a terrain for it. It will be more enjoyable.

7.) Take a chill pill. PEACE.

I am not an expert but after adding these things your game will become more awesome.

There are a ton of things which you can add but for now this will be enough.

Learn these things on youtube.

And good luck.

thanks for your feedback, actually I tried some of these things, but as I am a newbie game dev, I failed for some of these and also added. This is my first game and game jam, I have learned a lot from this game jam and I think now I have improved my skills. And also special thanks for playing and giving me a good feedback.

I also learnt many things in this jam seriously. It opened my eyes.

Now i get it winning is not everything. But the journey is.

If you want you can learn how to make an fps character in unity.

If you want!!

thanks for the tutorial, actually when I started making this game I had nearly no knowledge of unity, yes I had used unreal engine and blender for making one game. But, unity was a new thing for me. Literally, I just followed tutorials of brackeys and other youtubers and tweaked them in my way. I also did some things wholy by myself. I learned so much that I think I can make better games in unity also.

A really fun game . And please change the shoot button to left click.

Developer (1 edit)

Thanks for playing, I have not played a single pc game, that's why i do not know the conventions about the left mouse button.

It was fun, I liked black border around enemy, gives Borderlands like look

Feedback: - It would be really nice to shoot with left mouse button

Developer

Thanks for playing :)
