JAM RESULTS!
2023, December 15th. I'm excited to finally announce the winners of this wonderful Jam. First of all, I want to sincerely thank all of the participants, those who submitted games but also those of you who helped, encouraged or tried to participate. Choosing the winners of the Jam has been very difficult: every single one of the submitted games deserved a prize, and it's been a real pain for me to decide of the 1st and 2nd prize winners, and if I could, I would have given a reward to everyone.
If you didn't win, please don't be sad, and remember that I loved playing to every creation submitted. You will all receive a free digital copy of Hexpatria, and your games will be added and showcased in the Bonus folder when it is released!
Selection criteria
In order to choose the winners, and to finally help me take the difficult decision for the 1st and 2nd places, I used the following criteria. The number of + indicates the importance of the criteria in my decision, not in order to create what is commonly called "a good game", but to make what is (according to me) a nice Black Cube experience.
- Consistency with, or how much it pays homage to the Black Cube series (+++)
- Quality, quantity, and/or interest of the puzzles (+++)
- Immersion (art, cutscenes, narration, interactivity, etc) (++)
- Story development, either through text, diary, dialogues or events (++)
- Multimedia (audio and video) (+)
- "Completion" (how much the game looks finished and close to a final version) (+)

Note: Games by The Icehouse (me) are excluded. Games created for Yaz Jam IV were not taken into consideration. Kitrinos, as a game made in the past, was also excluded from the selection.

Winners
- 1st prize winner: J.G. Field by Yazorius
- 2nd prize winner: ASA 2079 by BlurredGames
Lottery prize
Random selection between the remaining participants -Rehvaro, struzzo and TreeDancer
- Lottery prize winner: TreeDancer
Congrats everyone, and many thanks for all of your efforts!

To celebrate the 10 years of existence of the Black Cube series (www.theblackcube.fr), fans of the games (and everyone) are invited to create a short game or digital experience directly or indirectly inspired by the worlds of ASA, Catyph, Myha, Boinihi, and/or Kitrinos. Any game made this year and containing a mysterious scifi black cube is in the theme! No rule, just have fun!

Submit your creations here before the end of November 2023.

Creations will be showcased on the Black Cube social networks for all fans to enjoy them, will be listed in a Simon Says: Play! newsletter, and the best ones will be distributed as free Bonus contents with the next new game in the series: Hexpatria.

Free digital copies of Hexpatria will be offered to the "top" creations!

Winner of the "best game" will receive a 3d-printed black cube puzzle shipped by postal mail worldwide (see picture below). Another identical puzzle will also be sent to a random participant as a lottery prize!

"Best Creation" and "Lottery" prize is a small black cube puzzle shipped worldwide!
