  • Thank you for submitting Evening at the Treasure Museum to the Below the Stone Community Jam 2019. I had a great time playing your game. I really enjoy the super cute pixel art, especially the walking animation. The sounds also fit very nicely to the overall aesthetics. The movement mechanics feel really good and responsive, well done on this part! And Yay! Double Jump! The level was layed out very well, and the design was good. I would love to see an extended version of this. While I like the "procedural" aspect with shuffled placed objects/pedestals and the different perks for each shift/swap. I know that it is super hard to scrub a lot of content in a game jam. IF you want to take this to the next level and work on it after the jam, more levels would be the obvious way to go. I would also like to see some sort of enemy/monster in the later levels, like mummies, which you have to avoid. Power-ups which give you more time or If you want to improve your game further after the jam, some music would also go a long way in strengthening the mood you want to convey. I had some minor bugs where two items were spawning in the same location and where the same item was spawned twice in the same level (so I had to figure out, which pedestal is the right one). But those are minor issues, which did not stop me from playing the game. A small detail is also the name of the window. I am sure, it can be renamed to something different than "New project". ;) And another small idea would be to flip the player image when walking in the opposite direction. All in all a very solid submission, which I enjoyed playing. I would like to see and play an extended edition, so keep us updated through the game page or the discord.
