Hello and welcome to the Benjamin Ace Game Jam Series! I've always been a fan of game jams and been waiting a while to offer a whole series for the year 2022, I been developing my own game so I been absent but I decided after building a small secure social site that I wanted to dedicate time to hosting game jams and offering rewards to make it worthwhile. Here you find Benjamin Ace Game Jams, I have a website called Benjamin Ace that focuses on becoming a way for you to communicate and hold assets without ads or anything that can disturb your experience, I want to start a marketplace of games filled with games not typically found on other platforms. I want to empower all creators and allow them to link their games hosted on itch or another platform onto the Benjamin Ace Marketplace or move their content over having our Marketplace take care of all your players need in terms of support and community as anyone can form their own groups on Benjamin Ace to become a hub for activity that is community governed and operated. This Game Jam will be treated professionally, being very open and clear of what happens, and working on providing a better experience.

Contents of the Game Jam like the theme(s) voted on and any potential reward is discussed at the Community Link that to open to all participants, signing up allows you to get extremely involved even allowing you to request games to be moved into the marketplace for anyone to download! Even mobile games are included and can be downloaded!! Creators who join will also be able to convert old games that you have made before in past onto the Benjamin Ace Marketplace. https://benjaminace.com/forums/topic/polls-ideas/

Prizes/Rewards could include forms of Cryptocurrency (if applicable age 18+),  virtual currency rewards, or physical items but not limited to these. Number of participants can increase the rewards and the number of people who get them.

We use itch.io to do all the submitting and voting while the Benjamin Ace site is more for communication and socializing. A account on Benjamin Ace is not required and you will never be forced to have an account, A account only empowers you to publish on Benjamin Ace. Now it's time to have fun creating!

THIS GAME JAM RUNS JANUARY 01, 2022 THRU JANUARY 29, 2022 TO WHICH VOTING ENDS ON JANUARY 30, 2022 THAN THE WINNER(S) ARE REVEALED ON JANUARY 31, 2022. VOTING FOR THE NEXT SESSION STARTS ON JANUARY 27, 2022.

- Rules -

1) What you use to make your game is all up to you but give credit where it's due and make sure to follow all licensing on any external game assets. This Game Jam only focuses on the game you submit, not any production related.

2) The Game Jam will focus a lot on 3 different things - Graphics, Application, and Gameplay. Using these 3 tiers, voters can judge games that are quality but given that, any game assets you plan to reuse and did reuse must be openly available for other creators to use including code and graphics but not limited to those. A place for including these assets will be in the About page in the Community Link and/or during submission.

3) Any content published on Benjamin Ace will need to follow Community rules per to where you're publishing the content. Benjamin Ace is all about free speech so you will be muted from outside your account if you repeatedly don't follow any Community rules.
