The darkwebSTREAMER team presents:

|| BLUE SKREEN OF DEATH ||
:: the computer horror game jam ::

Featuring the CRYPTMASTER.

Form a team of like minded ghouls, and over the the course of two weeks, craft a spine-tingling horror game that takes place primarily with a computer operating system interface.

The winning team shall be immortalized within darkwebSTREAMER with a NPC username of their choice -- and be crowned champions of horror and halloween. 

Good luck, don't die... and may the best skreener win.

DATE:

Begins: October 16th 9:00am EST
Submission Deadline: October 30th 11:59pm EST
Judging: 2nd November, 9pm EST

RULES:

+ Game must adhere to the jam's theme: a horror game primarily taking place within an OS. But otherwise,  get creative and go nuts! 

+ No content or assets for the jam should be created prior to the official start time. Team-building and brainstorming is a-ok. 

+ If making use of royalty-free/ open-source assets (such as sfx, sprites, models, etc etc) proper licenses must be denoted within the credits of your game.

+ The use of generative AI for any aspects of the game are not permitted.

+ The submission of a game created prior to the start of the jam, or one previously submitted for another jam is grounds for disqualification. 

+ Games must be playable in the web browser.

PRIZE

The winning team will have a username of their choice added to darkwebSTREAMER, forever immortalized within the bowels of the dark web. In addition, the winning team will also receive an invitation to participate in the next closed play test period of the game. Winners will also receive a Steam code for the game CRYPTMASTER for each member of their team. Most importantly, the victors will also be afforded supreme bragging rights to laud over their foes and declared sovereigns of Halloween. >:)
