Great concept! Lovely twist on the Window theme. I can see this being a truly fun party game, where friends & family scream and fight over stained-glass territory. While I understand this is a jam game, I still think it lacked a bit of visual feedback to let you know what was happening, how many units were stacked, which were being controlled, etc. It's "polish", but it would help understand the flow of the game a lot better. Also, there seemed to be a bug where we don't see the flags cursor, so I had to deduct a point out of graphs because it hindered our ability to play normally.
Regardless, I think you have a great concept on your hands, and with a little more polish, it could definitely be the core to a bigger party game with more levels and mechanics. Great job!
Such an interesting game, We connected 3 controllers to test it out. We went to war...
Constructive criticism: Their should be more feedback to help players understand what is happening. Sometimes your units overlap so you don't know how many you have. It is not clear how to separate your troops. I love the idea that it is a local multiplayer strategy conquering game! The idea has some good potential, thank you so mych for your hard work on this jam! It's very clear :)
WarStained operates off of an interesting original idea with strategy and combat elements woven in. The stained glass and extra lighting effects add a lot to the overall theme. However, the lack of player feedback and control menu/tutorial leaves players wondering about what is going on too much.

Thanks for the kind words! And I absolutely agree! The game was not done when submitted (In my opinion, it barely functions, actually), and we certainly never planned it that way. But, I was determined to post whatever I did, regardless of what % of complete we had it!
I think we ultimately had a really neat idea with this one, but so much of the gameplay never made it into the jam build. I hope to actually finish this one someday, if only to redeem it!
