How does the game fit the theme?
It's impossible to lose the game, you can only delay winning.
(I know it's kinda lame, I was gonna have a whole overaerching story tie-in but... y'know. scope creep)

What code and assets did you not make from scratch during the jam (if any)?
Some of the sfx were taken off of ZapSplat and modified in audacity. (I think the wing flap one and the crow-call one)

How many people worked on the game?

Hey pal! Congrats for your first game!!! Its your first game Jam too i assume. Im in the same boat, i have done my first game jam as an artist, glad you had a lot of fun, its amazing you did all of it, you should be proud of your work! I really liked how the game looked and was a very chill experience. Congrats for your achievement again 😊 Could you give my game a little try too?  Its hard but i think its an entertaining experience nonetheless

I like this game. The animations of the bird are really well done.

This game has put a smile on my face. Super well done for this being your first game, and submitting it to a game-jam as a solo dev! I love the art style, it has a charm to it, and the outro credits/scene are cute.
The game overall is very intuitive, I would suggest perhaps the speed/height of flapping your wings up to be a little higher? But the way that it is also poses a nice challenge.
Great job :)

Super pleasant experience, especially for your first game! Congrats on pulling it off, making games is hard. The controls are responsive and the enemy patterns and behaviors are fun to learn and dodge. I like the attention to detail with the bird windup, letting you know when they'll be swooshing by and giving you time to react. The only thing that stands out is I feel as though the upward speed you get when flapping your wings is sort of low, but it really depends on preference to difficulty, so not really a flaw at all. Maybe more movement ability options would be nice. Graphics are very nice and sfx are good.

Great work! And keep going :)

As the artist of my group, and an ardent bird enthusiast, the art in this game was really cute and done well. Have some more confidence! While there's technically not a failure state, the main core of the game is fun.

I would advise against putting the whole hitbox to include the flower, and to make the hitbox itself a little smaller than the player so that they can have an edge in weaving through smaller birds, especially towards the end.

Additionally, having a dedicated "drop down" button would make the game more playable as often I flew too high and had no way of dodging other than gravity.

I definitely think, given more time, this game could be completely polished. Keep up the good work, and good luck!
