What is the Brood X Jam?

In 2021, the mid-Atlantic United States will face a plague of insects seen only once every seventeen years: Brood X (or Brood Ten) of magicicada cassinii, or the periodic cicada. In the space of a few weeks, billions of cicadas will erupt from the ground. They will sing, they will mate, and they will die.

The Brood X Jam celebrates this momentous event by urging artists, writers, developers, musicians, etc. to create works inspired by the Brood X emergence!

• Any kind of content is allowed, but please label works appropriately if they are NSFW, etc! Use your best judgment!
